The Sungrow Floating division applies a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to build a digital factory. The main material for floats is High-density polyethylene (HDPE). Our floating solutions acquire more than 15 TÜV authorizations and BS6920 certification. 

Sungrow Floating also leads and participates in defining technical standards for floating solutions and provides customers with full service. Our product range includes advanced floating bodies, anchor systems, electric systems and the operation and maintenance of the power station.

Sungrow Floating is an industry leader in floating solar PV plants worldwide. Our floating systems have been deployed globally, such as the coal subsidence areas in China, frequent typhoon areas in Taiwan, extremely cold areas in Japan, as well as in South East Asia and Europe. The total installed capacity of Sungrow floating amounted to 700MW at the end of 2019.

Sungrow Floating provides large-scale floating PV plant solutions that can be deployed on water. We've developed many technologies and innovations, such as integrated device-boost inverters, lightning-shielding designs for overwater grounding systems, the electric damp-proof treatment, laying and fixing solutions of S-shaped curved flexible cables, and water level fluctuation adaptive anchor systems.

Sungrow's intelligent floating matrix monitoring system can automatically raise the alarm and supervise the operation status of boost inverter platforms and the whole floating matrix to ensure the whole system operates safely.

Sungrow floating systems are available for both of dual-glass panel and aluminum frame panel. Both are extremely reliable and easy to install. Sungrow Floating system can be adapted in different latitudes by adjusting the panel tilt. The system layout design is flexible to better improve the effective power generation and achieve a low Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE).
Both the single-row array and the dual-row array are designed to achieve a low Levelized Cost Of Energy (LCOE). Their flexible design allows for good ventilation that helps to improve the effective power generation.

The single-row array features a good orientation consistency and various layouts that can adjust to different water regions. The dual-row array offers an improved Solar Irradiation (SI) and comes with a wide aisle for easy and quick operation and maintenance.
Sungrow’s anchoring system can be used for various scenarios with different bathymetric conditions. To test the anchoring design is reliable, our computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) calculations take into account the coupled numerical analysis which obtains the dynamic tension of each cable under the influence of wind, wave and current.
